From a doll hidden behind a magic mirror to a sound-sensing robot, to dozens of toys that innovate beloved play patterns, the 2025 Toy of the Year® (TOTY®) Award finalists, announced today by The Toy Foundation™ (TTF), represent the most sought-out toys just in time for the holiday season. Known as the “Oscars of the toy industry,” the TOTY Awards celebrate the creativity of the global toy community and serves as a key fundraiser for TTF’s year-round philanthropic work supporting children in need.
Beacon Media Group, a full-service marketing, communications and media agency group and integral partner of the toy industry, hosted an employee-driven friends and family online fundraiser this summer in support of The Toy Foundation’s work delivering play to children’s hospitals. In addition to the employees raising cash donations, Future Today, a leading streaming technology provider and trusted vendor of Beacon Media Group, joined the fundraiser with a matching contribution in support of children in need.
On September 9, the toy industry gathered at The Toy Foundation’s (TTF) “Party with a Purpose” fundraiser to raise approximately $570,000 to support TTF’s Children’s Hospital Play Grants program.
The Toy Association is celebrating the first-ever International Day of Play today by uniting the toy community through its Toy Foundation to donate tens of thousands of brand-new toys and games, worth close to $900,000, that will bring the power of play to nearly 75,000 children in need across the country.
