Toy Foundation Response to LA Fires & Opportunities to Show Support at the TOTY® Awards

toy of the year awards 2025 logoFebruary 3, 2025 | The Toy Foundation™ (TTF) is uniting in-kind and cash donations from the industry to provide comfort and relief to children affected by the Los Angeles fires. More than 20 pallets of plush animals, fidget toys, construction sets, and more have been delivered to on-the-ground nonprofit partners, and TTF has collected an additional $620,000 in toys and cash contributions to dispatch to LA and reserve for future natural disasters.

At the 25th Toy of the Year® (TOTY®) Awards, taking place on February 28 in New York City, the industry has the opportunity to come together and raise funds to ensure TTF continues its disaster response efforts. Purchase your TOTY tickets today and be ready to participate in fundraising opportunities to support TTF’s work.

“Many families [in Los Angeles] have lost everything. Because of your donations, your support, and your partnership, we are able to come alongside families and communities when they need it most,” shared Edgar Sandoval Sr., president and CEO of World Vision, TTF’s primary logistics partner.

During the TOTY Awards ceremony, TTF and Presenting Sponsor Amazon will spotlight their year-round work to deliver toys and critical relief supplies as quickly as possible after a natural disaster.

TTF is the toy industry’s partner in disaster response, collecting donations both immediately after a disaster and throughout the year to ensure aid is ready before a crisis strikes. Thanks to the industry’s continued support, TTF has collected more than $6.2 million in in-kind and cash contributions since 2022 to comfort children around the world in times of great need. To make a product donation, send a completed donation form to [email protected]. Cash donations are accepted online.

There will be additional opportunities to support TTF’s disaster relief efforts at the TOTY Awards and throughout Toy Fair®, including cash contributions, auction bids (more details to come), and exhibitor product donations at the end of Toy Fair. With industry participation at every level, we can support children and families during their disaster recovery in a more impactful way.
