TOTY® Awards to Showcase the Impact of Your Toy Donations
January 28, 2025 | When a child is going through hard times, be it poverty, houselessness, or a humanitarian crisis, the gift of a new toy provides enormous comfort. From inner-city Chicago to war-torn Kiev, it’s a reminder to every child — at a time when they need it most — that they are important, loved, and can aspire to be anything they want to be.
Through product and cash donations, The Toy Foundation™ (TTF) can efficiently deliver toys from companies’ warehouses to children around the world. That’s why the 25th annual Toy of the Year® (TOTY®) Awards, taking place February 28 in New York City, followed by Toy Fair®, are critical opportunities for the industry to come together to sustain and expand TTF’s work. Purchase your TOTY tickets today and, if you are a Toy Fair exhibitor, donate product at the close of the show.
At the TOTY Awards, TTF and Presenting Sponsor Hasbro will showcase how the industry’s support has helped deliver the power of play to more than 34 million children since 2003. During this past holiday season, TTF delivered tens of thousands of toys to children and families nationwide, including to the School District of Philadelphia.
Many children in Philadelphia do not have the means to receive a toy or celebrate the holiday season. To help, TTF joined Operation Snowball in December, along with other toy companies, to surprise every student in the school district with a special gift.
“These toys are more than toys; they’re a symbol that someone was thinking about these kids and that they care,” said a teacher at Philadelphia’s Eliza B. Kirkbride School. “Thank you to The Toy Foundation for all the gifts they have donated to our school.”
Beyond delivering comfort and joy during the holidays, TTF collects and delivers toy donations of all sizes to children year-round. With a vetted network of 3,000 organizations, donors can feel confident their donations are being placed into the hands of children in greatest need.
There will be opportunities to support TTF’s work at the TOTY Awards and Toy Fair through cash contributions, auction bids (more details to come), and product donations. With industry participation at every level, there is great opportunity to comfort children through play when they need it most.
