More than $425,000 Raised for Children Impacted by Natural Disasters at Golf & Give FUNdraiser
September 15, 2025 | The Toy Foundation™ (TTF) raised nearly half a million dollars to benefit children in need with support from the toy community at the Golf & Give FUNdraiser September 9. Held during The Toy Association’s LA Fall Preview Market Weeks, the event welcomed toy professionals for an evening of networking, friendly competition, and giving back at Topgolf in El Segundo.
“The night was about coming together as an industry to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children who have lost so much and need our support, and we did just that. Thank you to our sponsors, partners, and all who joined us!” said Pam Mastrota, executive director of The Toy Foundation.
Proceeds from Golf & Give will be used to deliver play through TTF’s Play Fund program to children impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires, which resulted in thousands of devastated homes, schools and communities.
TTF is partnering with The Pasadena Community Foundation, a local nonprofit that helps foster a healthy and thriving community with funding directed toward disaster relief. A portion of the event proceeds will help fund mental health services at up to 13 Altadena childcare centers to provide children and families with the tools of play. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will help Altadena-based Woodbury Preschool Village rebuild after it was severely damaged and indoor materials and outdoor play structures were lost.
“We are grateful for The Toy Foundation’s and the toy industry’s support as we rebuild our beloved community,” said Jeannine Bogaard, VP of community impact at the Pasadena Community Foundation. “Your support is directly improving children’s lives as they look toward a brighter tomorrow.”
Golf & Give presenting sponsors, Amazon and Mattel, showed exceptional leadership in their steadfast support of the event and TTF’s mission. TTF also extends its gratitude to Golf & Give vision sponsors, Hasbro, Spin Master, Melissa & Doug, and TA Realty; mission sponsors, Beacon Media Group, Jazwares, Just Play, Moonbug Entertainment, and Pudgy Penguins; impact sponsors, Future Today and NBC Universal; and a la carte sponsors, Kidoodle and Forever Clever.
TTF’s Play Fund is the only industry-wide initiative that brings the power of play to disaster zones and hospitals, supporting children where and when they need it most. Thanks to the industry’s generosity, nearly one million children have been comforted with the healing power of play since 2021.
The Toy Foundation works year-round to comfort children in need with the power of play. To get involved and advance the industry’s collective impact, visit ToyFoundation.org or contact TTF staff.
