Letter from Toy Foundation Chair: We’re Here to Help Deliver the Joy of Play to Children
March 21, 2023 | As the newly appointed chair of The Toy Foundation (TTF), I am honored to have the opportunity to work with toy companies of all sizes to bring joy to children in need.
My goal is to create a world where every child has access to play and experiences its incredible physical, emotional, and educational benefits. I believe that we all share this vision, and together we can make it a reality.
At TTF, we recently refined our mission to become the uniting force for the collective philanthropy of the toy industry. By working together, we can achieve greater impact than we can individually. During my tenure, I hope to find synergies between your philanthropic efforts and TTF’s key program areas — Toy Bank, Play Grants, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) — to reach even more children and deliver measurable value.
In 2022, TTF delivered almost $10 million worth of toys to children all over the world, funded nearly $500,000 in Play Grants for children’s hospitals and $1.6 million in emergency relief, and launched a DEI student program to build a pipeline of diverse, young talent for the industry. We are deeply grateful for the industry’s support, and we could not have accomplished this work without your help. We are committed to continuing to work together to deepen the industry’s collective impact for the benefit of children in need.
