The Toy Foundation Partners with the Toy Insider for Sweet Suite Event

Partnership will deliver the power of play to local NYC children in need with help from participating exhibitors

New York, NY | June 28, 2022 - The Toy Foundation (TTF) announced it will serve as the Official Nonprofit Partner of Sweet Suite, hosted by the Toy Insider, taking place on July 13 in New York City. More than 60 participating exhibitors are invited to donate their toys, games, and products from the event to TTF’s The Toy Bank™ to deliver the power of play to deserving children in the local area.

TTF launched The Toy Bank nearly a decade ago to bring toys to children’s charities throughout the United States and around the world all year long. Access to play helps relieve stress, offers comfort, and reminds children they are loved. Since 2003, more than $225 million in toys have put smiles on the faces of over 26 million children, thanks to the toy community.

“We are excited to partner with The Toy Insider and the participating exhibiting toy companies to deliver the extraordinary benefits of play to children in need,” said Pamela Mastrota, executive director of TTF. “At the Foundation, we aim to be the uniting force for the collective philanthropy of our industry because when we collaborate with others it leads to greater impact. Thank you to all those involved for your incredible generosity.”

Sweet Suite, hosted by the Toy Insider, is a legendary toy party inviting press and top-tier digital influencers, including Instagram stars and YouTube creators, to preview some of the hottest new toys for the fall and upcoming holiday shopping season. Participating exhibitors include Crayola, Just Play, LeapFrog, LEGO, Mattel, MGA Entertainment, Moose Toys, Spin Master, VTech and more.

“We can’t wait to bring toy companies, media, and influencers back together in-person next month to see and play with the hottest toys of the year,” said Jackie Breyer, publisher of the Toy Insider. “We love being part of an industry that puts kids and families first, and we are proud to partner with The Toy Foundation to help deliver our partners’ donated products to local children in need.”

All Sweet Suite product donations will be distributed to NYC children with the help of TTF’s local nonprofit partner, Giving Friends. The organization supports children and families living in social service residences, from newborn to age 18, by providing gifts and essentials during the holiday season and throughout the year as they strive to create better lives. In 2021, Giving Friends delivered 12,500 gifts to families throughout the NYC and lower Westchester areas to bring unparalleled joy into their day.

“We are excited to receive such a generous donation from Sweet Suite exhibitors as this will help us deliver smiles to many more families. We will be able to bring gifts to even more children in need and show them that they matter and someone cares,” said Lynne Corry, founder of Giving Friends.

All confirmed Sweet Suite exhibitors are invited to donate products to TTF’s The Toy Bank by filling out this donation form.

The Toy Bank accepts monetary and in-kind donations to help deliver the joy and comfort of a toy to children around the world. To donate any time of the year, email ttfinfo@toyfoundation.org. To learn more about The Toy Foundation’s work, visit toyfoundation.org.
