The Genius of Play’s Latest Campaign Spotlights Member Toys for Summer Fun
September 7, 2021 | The Toy Association’s The Genius of Play encouraged thousands of families to relax and play together all summer long through its #SummerofPlay sweepstakes, which ran from mid-June through August and garnered the most entries of any Genius of Play campaign to date.
Hosted on the Genius of Play’s social media channels, which reach over 2.5 million parents every month, the daily giveaways engaged audiences with fun images featuring toys and games from 40 member companies along with information on their play benefits. Companies included Basic Fun!, hand2mind, Goliath, LeapFrog, Mukikim, Toysmith, and more. The sweepstakes drew nearly 600,000 social media impressions across Instagram and Facebook.
"After facing a 2020/2021 school year filled with challenges, the results of this campaign (an impressive 17,000+ entries) clearly indicate that its valuable message of taking time to decompress and create positive memories together resonated with families," said Anna Yudina, senior director of marketing initiatives at The Toy Association. "As our latest research shows play is important at any age and we encourage everyone to continue to turn to The Genius of Play and our members to inspire new ways to play together."
