Ingredients:
- Play-doh (different colors)
- Plastic silverware
- Small paper plates
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Crayons/colored pencils
- Old magazine/newspapers or pictures of different foods from around the world printed from the internet
Recipe for Playful Learning!
Help your kids learn about different places in the world and their cuisine!
STEP 1: Pick a location and discuss some local dishes (show pictures as inspiration).
STEP 2: Give kids play-doh to create five different dishes.
STEP 3: When they are finished, the kids should use the images to create a menu for their restaurant, writing out the names of the dishes they prepared.
Added Challenge: Make an all breakfast menu! Make an all dessert menu!
TIP: For extra fun, have kids play restaurant with their new DIY meals and menus!
