The Toy Foundation™ to Kick Off LA Fall Preview Week with High-Energy FUNdraising Event
All proceeds will benefit children’s hospital play therapy programs in economically disadvantaged communities across the country.
April 1, 2024
Dear toy industry colleagues,
Perhaps the two most defining characteristics of the toy industry are that we love to play and that we’re deeply committed to delivering the power of play – especially to children in greatest need. So, what better way to start our Fall Preview Week than by putting on our best LA-chic and lighting up the night with top-tier entertainment and networking to support children’s hospitals in economically disadvantaged communities across the country.
SAVE THE DATE for Monday, September 9 at TAO Los Angeles, for our party with a purpose. This is one event that you won’t want to miss!
The Toy Foundation’s event will kick off The Toy Association’s LA Fall Preview Week (Sept. 9-13) and support of the toy industry’s shared commitment to achieving greater impact in the service and support of children in need around the world.
In addition to networking and entertainment, the event will raise awareness and all proceeds will go toward our collective work to deliver the power of play to children’s hospitals in economically disadvantaged communities. Last year alone, our work in this area improved pediatric care and health outcomes for more than 185,000 children and their families. For nearly 80 years, The Toy Foundation has been our industry’s platform for small, medium, and large toy companies, and industry partners, to work together to achieve impactful results like these.
And that’s just the start! The Toy Association has planned an amazing LA Fall Preview with a dedicated market week this fall to give buyers exclusive sneak peaks at what’s in store for 2025. The industry at large can book showroom space in our marketplace located in the heart of LA’s “toy district.” The Toy Association is also hosting a “come one, come all” industry networking party on Tuesday, September 10 at Otis College of Art and Design. And, the industry will come together once again during WiT’s Wonder Women Awards on Friday, September 13. What an amazing week for the toy industry!
For the love of play – and children in need – we hope to see you in Los Angeles to support delivering the power of play to children’s hospitals.
Stay tuned for additional announcements. We look forward to seeing you all there and to your continued support in creating a world where every child has the opportunity to experience the extraordinary benefits of play!
With great appreciation,
Pamela Mastrota
