Media & Product Promotion Opportunities in Dallas
August 12, 2022 | The Toy Association’s 2023 Preview & 2022 Holiday Market in Dallas, TX marks the first time that press and influencers are widely invited to attend the Dallas toy show, with many exhibitors offering both a sneak peek at toys in the works for 2023 and highlighting hot toys that will be on shelf for Q4 of this year.
As always, exhibitors who choose to host media are advised to schedule appointments and reach out to their contacts. Exhibitors are also encouraged to reach out to The Toy Association's communications team if they have product to show to media while in Dallas by sending their company’s press contact, booth number, and any pertinent details regarding product to Kristin Morency Goldman. The information gathered will be forwarded to interested reporters and influencers looking to map out their time at the show.
Each media guest registered for the marketplace will also receive one complimentary ticket for the Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards, unveiling the top toy winners in 17 categories of play in time for the crucial holiday shopping season, while raising funds for The Toy Foundation’s philanthropic work.
“While the Dallas show is on a smaller scale than Toy Fair in New York, it will still offer media guests insight into the trends, licenses, new play patterns, and innovations that will be driving toy sales, as well as a first-look at the TOTY winners as we gear up for the holidays,” said Adrienne Appell, executive vice president of marketing communications at The Toy Association. “We encourage exhibitors to do their own outreach to local Dallas-area press and influencers ahead of time, and to keep our team in the loop on any exciting news they’d like to us to share when we get press inquiries about the show.”
Exhibitors are also reminded to book their Dallas appointments with The Toy Association’s trends team, who will be meeting with companies on September 20 and 21 to preview new products (under embargo) to help formulate the 2023 trend report for TV and other media opportunities throughout next year. Companies can sign up for a spot by contacting Angela Stanton-Weekes.
