Close Out Toy Fair by Helping Kids in Need: Donate to Toy Drive

February 25, 2020 | Toy Fair New York exhibitors are encouraged to help kids in need by donating playthings to The Toy Foundation’s (TTF) toy drive at the close of the show. The collection will begin as soon as the show officially closes, on Tuesday (February 25) at 4:01 p.m. It is the Foundation’s largest toy drive of the year.

Playthings of every kind are needed for this important initiative, including puzzles, plush, arts and crafts, dolls, action figures, and every other type of toy and game.

The donated toys will be sent to children’s well-vetted charities in the tri-state area serving kids who are impoverished, neglected, or otherwise in need, and to charities across the country to benefit those in foster care. The Foundation is aiming to surpass last year’s collection of more than 60,000 donated toys and games.

Exhibitors must submit their product donation forms in advance of show’s close to participate. Forms may be dropped off at TTF’s booth (#5701) and show information counters on Level 1 and Level 3 during the show. Volunteers will be collecting forms from those areas to save exhibitors a trip if they are located far away. Contact Elizabeth Max, TTF’s senior foundation manager, to learn more.

Since 2003, The Toy Foundation has provided nearly $226 million in brand-new toys to over 26 million deserving children through its signature program, The Toy Bank. To learn more about The Toy Foundation and its partners visit ToyFoundation.org.
