‘Back to School STEAM Toy’ Giveaway from The Genius of Play™ Reaches 65,000 Consumers
October 2, 2024 | The Genius of Play’s “Back to School STEAM Toy” giveaway, which featured 15 accredited STEAM toys, reached 65,000 consumers during the back-to-school shopping season. From an Elenco kit that teaches the science behind the aerodynamics of airplanes to an engaging build-your-own terrarium from Creativity for Kids, each product was featured on The Genius of Play’s Facebook and Instagram platforms. Fifteen winners received one of the toys featured during the campaign.
Starting in August through the end of September, the social media campaign accumulated 3,624 total entries and 6,808 engagements, reaching 65,000 consumers with toys that have earned the official STEAM “stamp of approval” from The Toy Association™ and The Good Play Guide™. To enter the giveaway, consumers responded to tailored prompts within each post’s caption, driving organic engagement with The Genius of Play and the featured companies.
The campaign was a free promotional opportunity allowing participants in the STEAM Accreditation Program to tap into The Genius of Play’s social media audience of parents, caregivers, and educators and showcase the learning benefits and fun aspects of their products.
